Privacy policy

Last updated October 7, 2026

This policy explains what personal data Buruj Real Estate (Buruj Emlak) collects through this website, what we use it for and what choices you have. It describes what the site actually does. The notice required by Turkish law is our KVKK information notice.

Who is responsible for your data

Buruj Emlak is the data controller for this website. We are registered in the Trabzon trade registry under no. 18060, with tax no. 1910582099.

  • Address: Pelitli Mah. Şehit Alim Özburun Sok., Çamlıca Olimpiyat Evleri B Blok No: 6/B Kat: 1, 61010 Ortahisar / Trabzon, Türkiye
  • Email: info@buruj.com.tr

What we collect

Our three forms (property enquiry, contact and "Sell with us") ask for:

  • your name and phone number;
  • your email address, if you choose to give it;
  • your country;
  • how you prefer to be contacted: WhatsApp, phone call or email;
  • the type of viewing you prefer, where relevant;
  • your message.

Each form also records the property or project you are asking about, the address (URL) of the page you sent it from and the language of the site. If you have accepted analytics cookies, it also records where your visit came from: campaign tags (UTM parameters) and the referring website. Without that consent, this information is not recorded.

To protect the forms, we use Cloudflare Turnstile and a hidden "honeypot" field, and technical data such as your IP address may be used to block repeated or automated submissions. Our forms do not ask for identity documents or payment details.

Why we use it

  • To answer your enquiry by the method you chose and to arrange viewings.
  • To provide our brokerage services if you decide to go ahead.
  • To keep the forms free of spam and abuse.
  • Only with your consent: to understand how visitors use the site and which campaigns bring them to us.

We use your data only for these purposes.

Under Article 5(2) of the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK), we process this data because it is necessary to set up or perform a contract with you (point c), to establish, exercise or protect a right (point e), and for our legitimate interests, such as keeping the forms secure, provided your fundamental rights and freedoms are not harmed (point f). Analytics and the campaign source rely on your explicit consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

Who receives it

  • Our staff. Enquiries are stored in the website's database and forwarded to our team by email.
  • Technical service providers that help us run the website, such as the email delivery service and Cloudflare (form security check and the storage that serves our photos and videos), and, only if you consent, Google for Google Analytics 4.
  • Parties to your transaction. If you go ahead with a purchase, a sale or a residence or citizenship file, we share what each step needs with the people and offices involved, such as the other party, sworn translators, licensed valuers, lawyers, the tax office and the land registry.
  • Public authorities, when the law requires it.

The email delivery service may be located outside Türkiye, and Google Analytics involves a transfer abroad. These transfers take place under the safeguards required by Article 9 of KVKK, as amended in 2024.

Our hosting and infrastructure providers can also be located abroad: the website database is hosted in the European Union (Frankfurt), and photos and the form security check are served by Cloudflare.

Cookies and analytics

Google Analytics 4 is loaded only after you accept analytics cookies (Google Consent Mode v2), and in GA4 IP addresses are anonymised by default. Properties you save with the heart icon are kept in your browser on this device. You can change your choice at any time with the "Cookie settings" link in the footer. The full list is in our cookie policy.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries: up to 2 years after our last contact with you. If a contract follows, we keep the related records for the periods the law sets for commercial records.
  • Analytics data: according to your consent and the analytics provider's retention settings.
  • Cookies: for the periods listed in the cookie policy.

When these periods end, the data is deleted, destroyed or anonymised.

Your rights

Under Article 11 of KVKK, you can ask whether we process your data and request information about it; learn why it is processed and whether it is used for that purpose; know the third parties it is transferred to; ask for incomplete or inaccurate data to be corrected, or for your data to be deleted or destroyed under the conditions of Article 7, and for these steps to be notified to those third parties; object to a result against you that comes only from automated analysis; and claim compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing.

Send your request in writing to our head office address, by registered electronic mail (KEP), or by email to info@buruj.com.tr from the email address you have already given us and that is registered with us. We answer free of charge within 30 days at the latest. If you are not satisfied with the answer, you can complain to the Personal Data Protection Board under Article 14 of KVKK. The details are in the KVKK information notice.
